How It Works

Accu-Temp Validation Slides are used to test the temperature of the slide heater pads on the instrument. Each slide has two temperature rating areas, one indicating 93°C and the other indicating 99°C, which change to black when the indicated temperature has been reached.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

  1. Load Accu-Temp Slides onto all slide pad positions on the instrument.
  2. In the instrument software, click Function Tests.
  3. Select the appropriate test function.
  4. Click the Run button.
  5. All slide positions are heated to a temperature exceeding 93°C but not exceeding 99°C and cooled. It takes approximately 20 minutes to complete this operation.
  6. Allow slides to cool before utilizing additional features.

RESULTS

At the completion of the test, observe slides. The temperature rating area on each slide indicating 93°C should have turned black while the temperature rating area indicating 99°C should have remained unchanged. If any slides fail, contact your instrument manufacturer’s local support representative.
